When people in this community are seeking medical treatment, education, resources, and support they need look no further than Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Since 1958, Sts. Mary & Elizabeth has served the communities of southern Louisville and Jefferson County.
We need your support to enhance the medical education and resources provided to people in our community by supporting the 9th Annual Kyle Pratt Memorial Golf Scramble and Auction. This annual event raises funds to support staffing needs of the Health Resource Center at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Staff will manage weekly health screenings, educational opportunities, and other prevention and health resources provided free of charge to the community.
The Kyle Pratt Memorial Golf Scramble and Auction is a special event in honor of a special life. At the age of 2, Kyle Pratt, a neighborhood boy was diagnosed with a cancer of the muscle tissue. After chemotherapy, surgery and radiation, Kyle was cancer free and lived a normal live for five years. He loved his parents, Carol and David, his sister Katie, his school and classmates at Sts. Simon & Jude and became an avid Louisville Cardinal fan. In April 2001, young Kyle was diagnosed with a second type of cancer called osteogenetic sarcoma. Despite aggressive, intensive, and sometimes painful treatment, Kyle lost his battle with cancer in September 2003 at the innocent age of 11.
Kyle’s parents and family honored his 11 years of life by creating the Kyle Pratt Memorial Golf Scramble. During their time of need, support and educational resources helped them cope with the loss of their son. For that reason, the Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital Resource Center is deeply personal and meaningful to the Pratt family. This year’s scramble and auction is Saturday, June 9th at Iroquois Golf Course.
