Nationwide Cancer Study Enlists Support from Greater Louisville Community

together to support community-wide study enrollment
The American Cancer Society will host a press conference to officially announce a community-wide enrollment for its Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3), which is made possible in partnership with Jewish Cancer Care, part of KentuckyOne Health and the YMCA of Greater Louisville. The press conference will follow a kick-off event rallying local community champions who will assist in spreading the word about the study to their communities.
The American Cancer Society CPS-3 will allow community members the unprecedented opportunity to participate in a historic study that has the potential to change the face of cancer for future generations. Enrollment will take place in eight locations throughout Greater Louisville during August 7-11, 2012. This is the first enrollment opportunity that has been brought to the Greater Louisville community. Participating host sites and community partners include: Jewish Cancer Care, part of KentuckyOne Health; YMCA of Greater Louisville; Metro United Way; and Mayor’s Health Hometown Movement.
The press conference will address the health, business and community impact of this collective effort.
