(Louisville, KY) On Saturday, December 8, the community is invited to Walk with a Doc at The Parklands of Floyds Fork.  Walk with a Doc is a nationwide program that works to empower patients to improve their health through physical activity, exercising side-by-side with their healthcare providers. Walkers will have the opportunity to learn about important health topics, ask medical questions in an informal manner and receive free blood pressure screenings, refreshments and giveaways (including free t-shirts and pedometers).

This is the second Walk with a Doc event, which is being held monthly at The Parklands of Floyds Fork on the second Saturday of each month.

Just 30 minutes of walking a day can reduce the risk of heart disease, improve blood pressure and blood sugar, elevate mood, and reduce risk of osteoporosis, cancer, and diabetes.
