Traveling Dance Company Offers Workshops for Caregivers
KentuckyOne Health will host a free therapeutic workshop for the caregivers of stroke survivors in collaboration with the Kentucky Center for the Arts’ Arts in Healing Program.
The workshop, “Caring for the Caregiver,” is presented by the Stuart Pimsler Dance & Theater Company, which has been recognized by the Kennedy Center as a national model in the area of arts and healing. The workshop aims to help healthcare professionals find expression and support for the emotional issues and unacknowledged stress associated with their work.
Funding for the workshop was provided by a grant from the Gheens Foundation.
