Southern Indiana Rehab Hosts 2013 Senior Games Event
Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital (SIRH) hosts “Toss ‘Em,” one of the 17 events in the 2013 Senior Games, directed by Lifespan Resources, an agency that provides services to the aging and disabled population of Clark, Floyd, Harrison and Scott counties in Indiana.
“Toss ‘Em” is similar to horseshoes or washers, except the participants toss beanbags instead of metal. A ”ringer” is scored when the beanbag is projected through a 6 ½ inch hole that has been removed from the middle of a plywood sheet. All tosses are pitched underhanded at 20 feet from the pit. Each participant may throw up to 24 bags.
