Neuroradiology/Neurodiagnostics

The diagnostic capabilities of Jewish Neuroscience Care include a diverse range of neurological studies and neurodiagnostic testing for the evaluation of disorders of the brain, spinal cord and nervous system, most available on either an inpatient or outpatient basis.

Additional evaluation services available to Jewish Neuroscience Care patients include “day one” rehab (i.e. rehab assessment on the first day of an inpatient stay) through Frazier Rehab Institute and individualized psychological assessments through Neuropsychology and Psychology Services.

Supported by a highly skilled radiology staff, Jewish Neuroscience Care offers the latest in medical imaging technology.  Specialists such as a neuro-ophthalmologist who provides in-house consultations and a full-time interventional neuroradiologist who offers life-saving, minimally invasive procedures raise the level and depth of service to that which you have come to expect from Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare.

Neuroradiology & Medical Imaging Services include:

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) (not for patients with certain metallic implants such as pacemakers, neuro-aneurysm clips, etc.).
  • Computer Assisted Tomography (CT) scanning, including portable CT scanning
  • Color vascular and digital vascular imaging
  • Color ultrasound
  • Color transcranial doppler
  • A full range of nuclear medicine

Neurodiagnostic Services include:

  • Electromyography
  • Nerve conduction studies
  • Electroencephalography
  • Transcranial doppler
  • Visual, brainstem, auditory and somatosensory evoked potential testing
  • Neuro-ophthalmology evaluation, including visual field and visual acuity testing
