Preparing For Your Orthopedic procedure

Jewish Orthopedic Care provides an innovative approach to patient care, including pre-operative patient testing and education classes to prepare for surgery and the recovery process.

The program begins with your physician. An information packet and an appointment for pre-operative labs, x-rays and educational sessions will be made through your physician’s office. Upon arrival for the pre-admission testing, labs and x-ray work are completed and the patient receives an informational session with a registered nurse and physical therapist.

Through the pre-operative patient education program, classes are held each week providing patients the opportunity to learn more about their procedure and decrease their anxiety prior to surgery.

Music therapy is offered prior to surgery and throughout the patient’s stay. Music therapy provides a decreased focus on pain and an increased satisfaction level.
