Jewish Hospital’s Oncology nurse specialists are committed to providing patients world-class cancer care by offering specialized treatment options for all types of cancer including breast, prostate, colorectal and gastrointestinal and lung cancers.
Accredited through the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Accredited Program and certified by the Commission on Cancer, the 23-bed Oncology unit provides patients with the most advanced cancer care available.
Our nursing staff is certified in Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration and offer comprehensive patient and family education.
Working closely with Kentuckiana Cancer Institute (KCI) and the Owsley Brown Frazier Cancer Program, the Oncology unit also provides coordinated Outpatient services on the Jewish Hospital downtown Campus, at KCI and at Jewish Hospital Medical Center Northeast.
Monthly support groups featuring guest speakers are also held at Jewish Hospital Northeast and the Look Good—Feel Better program is hosted by Jewish every third Monday of even-numbered months. The American Cancer Society supports all programs and services offered at JHSMH.
