Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare (JHSMH) is pleased to announce that Timothy Brady has joined the organization as President and Chief Executive Officer of Our Lady of Peace (OLOP). Brady will report to Tom Gessel, vice president at JHSMH and president/CEO of Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. “We are confident that Tim will bring the leadership and experience needed to provide superior care to the child, adolescent and adult patients at OLOP,” said Gessel. “These fragile patients need an advocate like Tim to help continue the fight to bring the proper resources to them in the right setting.”
Brady most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, Illinois, a member of the Hospital Sisters Health System. In this role, he was responsible for the strategic direction of a 280 bed community teaching hospital that included significant restructuring of operations, improved physician relations and increased community advocacy. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Three Rivers Healthcare in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Regional Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee. He also has considerable experience in the mental health industry, having worked for Charter Medical Corporation for nine years. During that time, he served in a variety of positions, including Assistant Administrator at a facility in Louisville.
A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Brady has a Masters of Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Detroit.
Tim and his wife, Theresa, have two children, who are both in college. ### About Our Lady of Peace: Our Lady of Peace was founded in 1951 by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth and is a service of Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare. Peace offers 21 different psychiatric inpatient, outpatient and partial programs for children, adolescents and adults. In 2003, it received the Silver Award from the American Psychiatric Association as offering some of the most innovative children and adolescent treatment programs in the United States. Also in 2003, Catholic Health Initiatives awarded Our Lady of Peace a $300,000 grant to pilot psychiatric services programs in primary care physician offices - making it one of only two organizations in Kentucky to provide psychiatric counseling services in physician offices.
