Nursing Care

Jewish Hospital Orthopaedics has more than 20 certified registered rehab nurses to assist with patient care. Rehab nursing is an important specialty area within the nursing practice. These nurses are especially trained to provide diagnosis and treatment of persons with actual or potential health concerns resulting form altered functional ability and an altered lifestyle.

Jewish Hospital's rehab nurses assist patients with disabilities and chronic illnesses in regaining their optimal function. They are skilled in treating functional ability and altered lifestyles due to an injury, disability or chronic illness.

Jewish Hospital is also supported with certified Orthopaedic nurses. These nurses hold a board certification in Orthopaedic nursing and are renowned for demonstrating a professional commitment to patients.

Their expertise ranges from disorders including arthritis and degenerative joint disease to the treatment of total joints, sports injuries and Orthopaedic trauma.

The Orthopaedic Center, a 37-bed unit, is located on 3 East in Jewish Hospital. Specially trained nurses in the care of Orthopaedic patients and a dedicated physical training staff assist the patient in a quick and successful recovery.
