Orthopaedic Rehab The goal of Frazier's Orthopaedic Rehab Program is to promote maximum function and independence. Patients admitted to this program include those who have a primary diagnosis of a fracture, any total joint replacement (knee, hip, and shoulder), arthritis, spinal fusion, multiple trauma or other conditions. Early initiation of education and therapy is the key to successful rehab. Our Orthopaedic Program offers a continuum of care after surgery or hospitalization to promote maximum function. Orthpaedic rehab may include Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. Group and individual therapies may be used to achieve the best possible outcomes. In addition to Frazier's interdisciplinary team, each person's orthopaedic surgeon is encouraged to follow the patient through the rehab process. Patient and family teaching, which is an important part of our program, enhances follow-through at home after the patient leaves the hospital. Each patient's equipment needs are assessed and met before leaving the hospital. Our patients receive comprehensive treatment to achieve the highest level of function possible in mobility, daily living skills and community accessibility skills. Early and comprehensive therapy with this diagnoses allow for shorter recovery and a faster return to daily routines. The result is pain-free movement and increased ability to perform tasks that were once impossible due to disabling pain and dysfunction.
