Rehabilitation

VNA Nazareth Home Care pioneered in-home rehabilitation in the Kentuckiana area and has been setting the standard of excellence for three decades. The physical therapists, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists and rehabilitation nurses focus on the total needs of the patient.

Care for patients with conditions that include:

  • Joint replacements
  • Strokes
  • Head injuries
  • Developmental disorders
  • Congenital disorders
  • Amputations
  • Neuromotor dysfunction
  • Spinal cord injuries
  • Speech-language disorders

Rehabilitation Staff

Physical therapists help increase mobility, strength, balance, coordination and ability to get around.

Occupational Therapists work on the fine motor skills of people who have suffered a physical impairment, so they can accomplish the tasks required in everyday living.

Speech Language Pathologists help people overcome communication impairments and relearn language and speech skills. They are also able to treat dysphagia (swallowing disorders).

Rehabilitation Nurses coordinate the services provided by the team and can develop an individualized program for the patient and/or patient's caregiver.
